Where Bluebirds fly

So with the talk about the changes on the new Twitter (Elongated Twitter, if you will), I thought of expanding my empire to other websites, since I was using around 2 to 3 websites regularly. I did pick up Itaku as another site for posting art, and I also happened to pick Newgrounds. When artists on the blue bird website talked about emigrating off that site, some picked this site. I think that on previous twitter scares, probably one on 2017, someone reminded me of this old site I used to visit anonymously years ago.

So, I decided to give Fulp a visit again, and now actually settle here. I'm not abandoning Twitter, I'm not about the Shiny Object Life, which is when a person finds something new (ooh, shiny) and abandons the old thing they liked previously completely.

Another thing is that previously I had been using two to three sites mainly to regularly post stuff: Twitter, Furaffinity and Discord. Discord kinda doesn't count as a site since it's more of an app. But, at the same time it's pretty social. Almost forum-like. More site-like than using a normal messaging app, but not site-like enough as a normal website.

So, there was this meme about "Twitter Artists" (shown as ignorant) and "Artists on Twitter" (Shown as very virtuous), and the main takeaway was that you shouldn't depend on Twitter entirely, because there might be one day one mass apocalyptic event on that website that would make everyone go away. Either that or some people would never want to go to that website and wouldn't be able to see my stuff. So, the recommendation was to post on multiple platforms! I just settled down on those 2/3 I mentioned previously because of the time and effort it takes to keep track of posting on many websites.

I myself considered myself more of an "Artist on Twitter", since I was as active on FA as how I was there. And while FA was a smaller platform, I am more famous there somehow. Maybe it was because I was active there for more time.

Taking the dust off the NG account

So, when I came back to this account to update the branding, and post art for once, I realized that on my profile that... I created my profile on 2017... 2017?! That's five years ago! 2017 was the second year of me being known as Kespuzzuo, so that means this website was made so early in that persona's life yet just now I started using it properly. I didn't even know about how the experience, levels, and portal thingies worked. I was on level 1 for five years!

Now I have to slowly catch up on art on the new sites I'm using. Slowly, not fast. I think it would get annoying for peeps to see me posting way too much on a single day. I might go for double uploads, or sometimes triple uploads.

I bet you put catch-up on your hotdogs

So, to put you to context, I've been regularly doing art like this since 2016, with some breaks sometimes. But, I've been doing it steadily since 2020. I'm studying for a Psychology Bachelor's degree, I think what inspired that decision was that I loved games like Persona 5 and Hollow Knight, in which someone goes inside someone's mind, and do things to solve things inside their minds. This interest can also be reflected in that... I'm a lakesprit, you know... like Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, those three pokerinos from the fourth generation, who do mind things! They designed the minds of people in the poke world. I think I'm the lakespritest person in the world, I haven't seen someone so passionate about lakesprits that they would like to be one over anything else entirely all the time, and even study something related to that.

Last October I participated on one of those "draw a pic a day" challenges, you know, those that end in "...tober", I made my own version of that called "Emrotober", named after my mesprit character, Emronia. It went so well. I was studying and drawing at the same time. And yet, I was getting good grades and making a colored pic on every day and even posting comics, which take more effort. Some people just settle for inking a pic a day, work on something else in their lives, probably a part-time job, and that's it. I think that might be the best part of the year so far, and probably the biggest even I had in terms of content creation.

Finishing New Year's Resolutions

After Halloween, one realizes that there's now only two months left in the year, and now that I'm here there's less than 60 days left of this year, and even less than 50 days left until Chrimmus. That reminds me of my new year's resolutions. I fortunately did most of them, like "Interacting more with people on the internet" (some people set up the opposite), and "listening to a lot of music albums released this year" which was to go out and explore indie bands or musicians who aren't too known so I could have a taste of their music.

In the following months, I have two resolutions yet to accomplish, "Making an animation", and "Making music for one of my characters", I believe I can do these in this year.

Next year, I might try to do "New Month Resolutions" or "New Quarter Resolutions", since new year resolutions tend to give you too much time for getting something done, so some people end up doing them at the last minute. Emrotober was like a New Month Resolution on its own, so I think each month can have its own goals for me.

Alright, that's all I have for now! The lakesprit is saying goodbye and wishing you a good day.
